It's
good news that a standoff with an allegedly armed suspect in East Los Angeles
ended peacefully on Friday. Based on the report of NBC4, the incident began at
around 12:30 a.m. at a home in the 600 block of S. Record Avenue. It was
escorted by Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department deputies and Special
Enforcement Bureau personnel. Deputies evacuated homes in the surrounding area
to ensure the safety of residents, believing the suspect was armed. At around
4:00 p.m., the suspect was seen surrendering to LASD officials, and no further
information was provided. It's good that this ends peacefully.
